Collection of your Personal Information
At various times BuildersUpdate.com may collect personally identifiable information, such as your e-mail address, name, home or work address or telephone number, or anonymous demographic information. Information collected however, will always remain in the sole possession of BuildersUpdate.com and not be sold to others; only your name, company name and business phone number are visible to companies that you have deliberately shown an interest in their products. Interest is defined as taking the additional steps to click and view a company’s detail page, print the detail page, visit the company’s website or send a company’s information to others using the features of the site to do so. At no time will a registered agent’s email address be visible or transmitted to a third party unless you choose to dialogue directly with the third party company. We have designed and incorporated a blind email system within the site to protect all email address information so that no registered user can view the email address of any other registered user at any time should they desire to reach you.
There is also information about your computer hardware and software that may be automatically collected by Company. This information can include: your IP address, browser type, domain names, access times and referring web site addresses. This information is used by Company for the operation of the service, to maintain quality of the service, and to provide general statistics regarding use of the site.
